NGC 7365 (The Bubble Nebula)
|
The Bubble Nebula (NGC7365) is an emission nebula in the constellation of Cassiopeia . This image is taken at one of the wavelengths emitted by excited hydrogen (known as Hydrogen Alpha).
Interestingly the obvious bubble in the center of the nebula is actually the smallest of the three bubbles surrounding the central star (BD+602522). The first bubble is approximately ten light-years across.
