NGC2174

NGC2174 is an emission nebula in the constellation of Orion. It is more commonly known as the 'space monkey' nebula due to its appearance. Astronomers have somewhat vivid imaginations :)

This image is a 2-panel mosaic take using a H-Alpha filter which only passes a vary narrow wavelength emitted by the Hydrogen atoms comprising this nebula.
