M20 (Trifid Nebula) w/ color data

Fortunately my filter wheel finally turned up in time for the Willow Springs star party in August . This is a pure Willow Springs image - the luminance data was also taken at Willow Springs (July 2006).

The color frames were taken early on the Friday night, before the seeing improved to the normal excellent levels typically found at this site.
Interestingly there are a lot of extra hydrogen clouds lying about that I don't remember seeing in other images - for example the serpent-like cloud in the top left corner. Still, maybe that's just something you only see when you study the image during processing.
